Charissa A. Fry

M,A, Biblical Studies, M.A. Biblical Counseling,  LPC

Charissa serves as a Licensed Professional Counselor at The Vale. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Letters with distinction. She also earned a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies with honors and a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling with honors from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Charissa has been involved with recovery ministry and 12-Step Groups in an ongoing basis since 2007, with specific training in the Celebrate Recovery program. She is on the Board of Directors at Recovery for Life at Northwest Bible Church in Dallas, TX. She co-leads the Journey Group ministry at c|life church in Sunnyvale, TX. Charissa uses an innovative approach in working with groups by combining recovery principles with experiential therapies. She has more than nine years of experience mentoring and coaching teens. She has worked on staff at her home church and at Dallas Theological Seminary for over eleven years combined. Charissa regularly teaches on topics of faith with an emphasis on the intersection of spiritual, mental, emotional and physical dynamics. She also provides leadership training to group facilitators throughout the year. Charissa has also completed the course work to be a Registered Play Therapist. She loves working with kids and tweens using play therapy techniques and helping moms and dads learn to parent with skill and confidence. Her passion is to come alongside those who are hurting and struggling to help them find truth, hope, healing, connection, and growth.
